If photography was never invented many things would change or wouldn’t even exist. Photography’s impact on reports for police files or news reports would have to be drawings, rather than accurate pictures. Yearbooks wouldn’t have photos only names of students or friends. Photo classes wouldn’t exist Decania and other people who rely on photography for a job, would need other jobs. Phones wouldn’t have cameras, meaning no group photos with friends and no selfies. People would have to rely on drawings and paintings to preserve an image. The world would have more artists and possibly better drawings. New techniques would be invented with so many artists trying more ideas/techniques. Drawing classes would be bigger with so many people wanting to capture an image. If photography was never invented then there might be a different way to capture images, for example having paper bleach around a leaf or rock from sunlight. Maybe more statues would be made to honor famous people, as well as making portraits of them. Wax molds would be more popular for their way of capturing objects/people with high amount of detail or 3D look. Photo companies would not exist, Kodak, ect. Photo developing would cease to exist and the developing chemical would be useless. 3D printers would be used more and more. Shopping for items would become more specific if you sent a friend or family member to buy groceries, if someone forgot what an item looked like they would have to come back home to see what it looks like or have more details texted to them. Also some programs that rely on photo like photoshop and bridge wouldn’t exist anymore. Some apps specialize in collage making they would be able to collage photos. Magazines could only rely on drawings of various skills and details, pretty much becoming comic books of celebrities and scandals. I have always enjoyed reading national geographic and love their detailed and professional pictures, but I wouldn’t able to enjoy their amazing detailed shots if cameras weren’t invented. If photos didn’t exist we would be able to have pictures of planets, asteroids, and other mysteries of the universe. Scrap books would become painted portrait books. All historical events would be painted, for example Martin Luther King’s picture of him making a speech would be painted. Paint and paint brush businesses would make a whole lot more money, Home Depot and Lowes would have their paints out of stock constantly. Digital painting programs would be used a lot more and electronic drawing pads would be more popular because of it. Graphiti and street art would become our pictures and walls/floors our canvas. Art museums would thrive during this time, people would come to look at the art and maybe even learn a new/different style of painting/drawing from it. House might be painted in different ways to show the owners/renters style of art or drawing. Having no form of photography would most definitely change the world, and make the world a piece of art.
